PORTAL
A project that seeks to cultivate openings for visibility and listening. A series of memorials that honored Black Portlanders lives whose lives were lost due to violence and hate crimes. Portal consists of a Mother site garden and four smaller site specific installations throughout the city.
The intention of these sites is to inform the broader community of the impacts of white supremacy in Portland, to honor Black life and to move towards restoration by listening closely to those that have been directly impacted.
